Welcome to Term 4! 

 Term 4 promises to be lots of fun. We start the term with our excursion and end with our annual Christmas Parade.  Wow!

We are really looking forward to see what else Term 4 has to offer!

Numeracy Focus

What will Grade 3 be learning in Numeracy this term?


    • I can model ½, ¼, ⅓ and ⅕  of a shape.
    • I can represent ½, ¼. ⅓ and ⅕  of a collection.
    • I can locate unit fractions on a number line by partitioning it.
    • I can represent unit fractions using numbers, by solving worded problems 


    • I can conduct chance experiments, identify and describe possible outcomes and recognise variation in results
    • Collect data, organise into categories and create displays 
    • Interpret and compare data displays


    • I can represent money values in multiple ways and count the change required for simple transactions to the nearest five cents


    • I can describe, continue, and create number patterns resulting from performing addition or subtraction.
    • I can apply mathematical rules to numbers or shapes.

    • I can understand that language use varies according to who is using it and with whom, such as kamu for friends and Bu/Pak for teachers, and that some terms have specific cultural meanings, such as the significance of family in terms of address (for example, Bapak/Pak, Ibu/Bu)
